How do I know if this test is right for me?
If your acne won’t budge, flares around your cycle, or comes with gut issues, low energy, or stress… testing helps us stop guessing and start getting answers.
How is this different from regular blood work?
Blood labs show what’s happening in the moment. Functional testing shows patterns. We also review everything through an acne lens, not just “you’re in range so you’re fine.”
I’ve done functional testing before. Why would this be different?
Because interpretation is everything. We don’t just hand you results. We connect your labs to your breakouts, digestion, cycle, stress, and history so your plan actually makes sense for your skin.
Who can do this test?
Women, men, teens, and kids over 8 can all test.
If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend holding off.
If you’re trying to conceive, you can test, but some recommendations may not be suitable while TTC. If possible, we suggest pausing TTC while you implement your plan and strengthen your foundation.
Who does my consult?
One of our KSW nutritionists who's been trained directly by Katie and has been on the team for years. Every single one of our qualified practitioners knows our method inside and out and specializes in acne-focused nutrition.
How does the process work and when do the results come in?
After purchase, you’ll get an email to set up your account in our client portal. Fill out the intake forms. Once everything’s submitted, we’ll send your testing instructions and consult booking link within 24 business hours.
You’ll book your consult for about 4 weeks after you ship your sample. Labs usually take 2 to 3 weeks once they receive it. If timing needs adjusting, we’ll easily move your appointment.
Will I just get my results or an actual plan?
You’ll get a real plan. Fully tailored to your labs, symptoms, and goals so you know exactly what to focus on.
Is this covered by insurance?
We don’t direct bill. You can submit your receipt to your provider, but coverage depends on your plan.
Do I have to live in North America?
Available worldwide. No restrictions.
